Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala is always a regal affair where many celebs walk the red carpet in the most demure outfits. Sometimes these glamorous ladies walk along their favourite designer in their creations at the MET Gala which is a sight that explains the ‘Designer & Muse’ so beautifully.
The gala kicked off this year’s Costume Institute exhibit, “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations,” based on an imaginary conversation between the two fashion giants directed by Baz Luhrmann. No wonder creativity is at it’s peak at this royal event. As for ‘Borrow it Bindaas’, we surely look forward to seeing the fashion trends at this year’s MET Gala 2012.
Color me ‘Coral’
Ginnifer Goodwin in Monique Lhuillier
Make way for the new buzz of the summer season ‘Coral’, one got to see many celebrities in this vibrant color. This color looks amazing not just on the outfit but also on accessories, clutch bags, pumps or even lip color.
Sheer at the Hem
Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior
Gone are the days when celebrities used to dress in voluminous ball gown to walk the red carpet. These days ‘sheer’ is the keyword when you wanna look stylish. The upper body fit of the gown has more of detail-work while the hemline kept without the lining for the desired ‘dreamy’ effect of the silhouette.
Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney
The prices of gold might be reaching sky-high, but the demand of this color on the red carpet will surely never fade away. Many celebs were seen basking in this color by wearing golden accessories, shoes or an entire dress in gold.
January Jones in Atelier Versace & Cartier jewels.
Fitted bodice designs have been in existence for quite some time now but off late one gets to notice structured design of the bodice. The gowns have become slimmer giving emphasis on the shapely upper body while going slim on the skirt part.
Animal Print Patterns
Rihanna in Tom Ford
Color-block animal prints or go solo with it, this seems to be the latest style trend. Celebs were seen taking risk in animal print, for some it paid off while few got written off. Incorporating animal print in small pieces can help you to work this trend.
