Memoirs of a Bindaas Diva

Submitted to our team by one of our Bindaas Members Meredith…

Like many of the other divas I’ve read about on your site I’ve had little experience with sarees. I was so amazed and impressed by my rental endeavor that I feel inclined to share a bit about what it was like to be a Bindaas Diva for a day.

A good friend of mine was getting married and it was up to me to find a saree for the big day. I wanted to feel beautiful without standing out too much, but I had no idea where to look. It all started with a Google search, as many things do. Curiosity and clicking led me to a Wall Street Journal article that boasted about BIB and the twin masterminds behind it. I was instantly intrigued and explored their site for a bit. The most impressive part, for me, was the way that they have curated their clothing. Other sites I visited were not nearly as organized or personalized.  Right in front of me were so many options! Everything was customizable just for me, and I knew then that no matter what I chose I would feel like a million bucks and still fit in with the rest of the guests.

It wasn’t an easy decision but I went with the Polka Dot Dream saree in Black. The black and white pattern reminded me of a vintage starlet.  It was wrapped up so cute with sweet personal touches like a bag of goodies to help me put the look together. It eased my mind a bit to see that this company has the process down to a tee, and they know exactly what you will need.

I got a great response. I was the only caucasian girl in a wedding with over 200 guests! Young and elderly women came up to me the entire event to tell me how pretty my saree looked. Each compliment made me feel even better about my purchase.

I sent it back super easily! They even give you a self-addressed envelope and tell you where you can take it near your address.

The best way to sum up this experience? Effortless and glamorous.

I raved about BIB to all my friends, and would do it again in a heartbeat!
