Memoirs of a Bindaas Diva

Submitted to our team by one of our Bindaas Members Ilana

In a word, I was nervous. I had never worn Indian clothes before, I wasn’t really sure how the sizing worked, I didn’t know how much it would cost and what outfits were appropriate for the various ceremonies. When my best friend told me that she was getting married I was so excited to be a part of her big day, but truthfully I didn’t even know where to begin.
So I started searching on the internet for Indian wedding clothes. The sites I was coming across seemed so traditional and static, I didn’t know if I was going to show up under dressed, or over-dressed. Everything seemed very pricey, and other rental sites did not seem to offer as much guidance as someone like me really needs.

Then I came across Borrow It Bindaas and their website was all around easy to navigate. By the looks of their site, I thought this was the service I had been searching for, and I was right. I got in touch with the Bindaas team and shot all my questions their way. They were immediately excited to help, and they personally guided me through the whole process. My size can be a bit tricky, but they knew exactly what would fit well and be flattering at the same time while customizing it just for me.
After discussing a few options, they helped me find the Orange Ash Anarkali for the sangeet and Moroccan Mint and Topaz Saree for the wedding. The styles were just amazing, and at a price I could afford! It felt good to know that I was going to be wearing designer outfits for so much less than I had seen online. It’s hard to find a company that will go so above and beyond for their customers. I definitely felt valued.

At the wedding, everybody loved it. I received so many compliments that by the end of the day I was on cloud nine. The website is great, the clothes are beautiful, and the return process is ridiculously easy. I would definitely use this service again, and recommend it to anyone feeling nervous about attending their first Indian wedding! These ladies are here to help.
